Zombies invade Washington for protest

By Judy Kurtz - 10/12/12 11:06 AM ET

altDon’t be surprised if you bump into a zombie on Capitol Hill.

A group of the ghoulish creatures is taking to the streets of D.C. on Friday.

But as is usually the case in the nation’s capital, this zombie gathering isn’t without a cause. Zombie/AMC publicist Sal Cataldi tells ITK, "We're here in D.C. as afterlife lobbyists, who along with our undead zombie brethren, want to draw attention to the zombie viewing crisis facing many Americans who subscribe to satellite carrier Dish, which has dropped AMC Networks, home to AMC and the top rated drama, ‘The Walking Dead.’ ”

The zombie protesters plan on heading from Lafayette Square late Friday morning to K Street by mid-afternoon, and ending their entranced march at the Washington Monument.

Little known zombie fact: Saturday marks World Zombie Day.
