DC salon gets in on Sandy relief efforts

By Judy Kurtz - 11/15/12 03:46 PM ET

WE HEAR: The Hair Lounge Salon in upper Georgetown — a popular spot for political types — is putting its blowdryers to good use. Through the end of the year, the salon is donating $5 from its $40 blowout special for new visitors to the American Red Cross’s Sandy Relief Fund.

Owner Daniel Levy tells ITK, “We look forward to helping the American Red Cross while doing what we do best: making hair look fabulous.”

The tonsorial destination has tended to the tresses of some of Washington’s power players, including White House Office of Management and Budget Director Jeffrey Zients, Rep. Frank Pallone Jr.’s (D-N.J.) wife, Sarah Hospodor-Pallone, and former Kansas Gov. Bill Graves (R).
