Madeleine Albright: World run by women would be ‘like high school’
Madeleine Albright says a world with women in charge might be a lot like high school.
Appearing at The Atlantic’s Washington Ideas Forum at the Newseum on Thursday, the first female secretary of State — who was appointed by former President Clinton in 1997 — was asked by the magazine’s editor in chief, James Bennet, if the increase in the number of women holding government positions had caused a positive shift in policy.
“There are some who ask me if the world would be better off if it were run by women,” Albright said, continuing with a laugh, “And I say, ‘Do you remember high school?’ ”
