Congressman claps at 'My Fair Lady' performance

By Judy Kurtz - 11/16/12 11:04 AM ET

SPOTTED: Rep. Jim Moran getting his Eliza Doolittle fix.

ITK eyed the smiling congressman clapping to the beat along with a packed audience at the opening night celebration of Arena Stage’s “My Fair Lady.”

The longtime Virginia Democrat gave a standing ovation at the theater in Southwest Washington as the cast of the musical, inspired by George Bernard Shaw’s “Pygmalion,” took their bows.

Moran, donning a suit and light blue tie, also looked like he “Could Have Danced All Night” during the show’s intermission, cheerfully chatting up some fellow audience members.
