Book on Emanuel brothers coming out in March
The Emanuel brothers have taken on something of a legendary status on both the East and West coasts: Rahm Emanuel in Washington, D.C., and Ari Emanuel in Hollywood.
But what were they like as kids, and how did they get that famous drive and temper?
Ezekiel “Zeke” Emanuel, the third brother — slightly lesser known but just as prominent in his own field — will dish the details in Brothers Emanuel: A Memoir of an American Family. His book, which will be published by Random House at the end of March, will recall their Chicago upbringing, according to a release from the publisher.
It also will include how youngest brother Ari went from dyslexia to the real-life model for the character of Ari Gold on HBO’s “Entourage” and how middle brother Rahm went from an underachieving student and accomplished ballet dancer to a member of the House, White House chief of staff and Chicago mayor.
Zeke Emanuel, the oldest, is one of the world’s leading bioethicists and oncologists, and serves as a healthcare adviser to the Obama administration.
