Washington VIPs get glam at fashion event

SPOTTED: CNN’s Jessica Yellin and Shirley Henry and George Salon manager Rick Raines and his makeup artist husband Carl Ray (who had just come from working his makeup magic on first lady Michelle Obama) checking out designer duds and other high-fashion goodies last week at the Hay-Adams Hotel.

The event, hosted by Susanna Quinn with Vogue and Net-a-Porter.com, featured an array of “baubles and bags to suit the season” from the online luxury fashion retailer.

Quinn, the wife of lobbyist and former White House counsel Jack Quinn, tells ITK she personally scoured the site for all the pieces she picked out for the soiree. She and Washingtonian magazine’s Kate Bennett were eyed checking out a sky-high pair of $1,250 red Giuseppe Zanotti suede sandals.
