Petition pushes for removal of Trump's Hollywood star

The petition, with more than 13,000 signatures, asks the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce and Hollywood Historic Trust to remove the GOP presidential front-runner's star.

"Donald Trump has a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame and it has been vandalized again and again since the start of his presidential campaign. It’s clear that the community does not think he deserves to be represented there," the petition reads. 
 
Trump's star, which was added in 2007, has has been repeatedly defaced with spray paint and even covered with animal feces, CNN reported
 
But the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce has said it's never removed a star from the walk. 
 
"The Hollywood Walk of Fame is a registered historic landmark," President Leron Gubler said in a statement to CNN. "Once a star has been added to the Walk, it is considered a part of the historic fabric of the Hollywood Fame. Because of this, we have never removed a star from the Walk."
