Ann Romney turns down ‘Dancing with the Stars’

Ann Romney reportedly won’t be cha-chaing her way to a mirror-ball trophy on “Dancing With the Stars.”

TMZ.com reports that former GOP presidential candidate Mitt Romney’s wife was offered a spot as a contestant on the hit ABC dance competition after her spouse lost his White House bid in November, but turned it down.

According to the celebrity site, Romney took several meetings with “Dancing With the Stars” bigwigs and had expressed interest in appearing on the show before ultimately deciding against busting a move on national television.

TMZ quoted a Romney spokesman as saying, "Ann Romney was approached, but she declined. She will not be appearing on 'Dancing with the Stars.' "
