Bill Clinton wows Claire Danes with post-Golden Globe invite
Not only is President Obama a professed fan of “Homeland,” Claire Danes says former President Clinton told her he also digs the Showtime series.
Danes, who stars as a CIA agent investigating a Marine-turned-terrorist, tells “Access Hollywood’s” Billy Bush that Clinton “asked if I would come meet him in some special room” following Sunday’s Golden Globes Awards.
In a surprise appearance, Clinton introduced a clip from the film “Lincoln” at the awards show.
The actress, who won a Golden Globe for her “Homeland” role, says Clinton explained to her that he’s a fan of the show.
Danes appeared to be in awe of the former commander in chief, telling Bush, “There’s something a little superhuman about him.”
Both Clinton and Obama — who has said in interviews that “Homeland” is among his favorite shows — have reportedly requested DVDs of previous seasons of the program.
