Rep. Lummis to participate in antelope shooting contest
Look out, antelopes — Rep. Cynthia Lummis (R-Wyo.) is giving a hunting competition her best shot.
The lawmaker will participate as a special guest at The Cowboy State’s first annual Women’s One Shot Antelope Hunt.
As the name might indicate, the event gives its female competitors a single shot to bag an antelope.
No word on how confident Lummis is about her sharpshooting skills, but she’ll have plenty of time to prep for the October hunt.
The House member was traveling and wasn’t unable comment to ITK, but said in a statement, “As much fun as I’m sure we’ll all have, it’s also a fantastic opportunity to contribute to a great organization, celebrate women and squeeze in some friendly competition.”
