Bret Baier celebrates ratings win with fruit feast
WE HEAR: Forget filet mignons or cheese fries — Bret Baier is celebrating his ratings victory with ... fruit.
Word is the Fox News Channel anchor is sticking to his healthy diet and treating his D.C. staff to a ginormous fruit basket to mark 50 consecutive months of “Special Report” nabbing first place in its time slot.
The basket event comes equipped with a vitamin C-soaked treat — a giant “50” made out of pineapple.
Baier said last year that he lost 40 pounds adhering to the “Eat Right for Your Blood Type” diet, which favors fruits and veggies over bacon and beer.
ITK hears beyond the fruit feast, this week Baier also plans on donning the same tie he wore the night he took over the show from his predecessor and current “Special Report” panelist, Brit Hume, in 2009.
