Three other members of the press round out the band: frontman Andy Sullivan is a national correspondent for Reuters, guitarist Mark Felsenthal covers the White House for Reuters, and singer Ali Macadam is a producer for NPR’s “All Things Considered.”

Other groups slated to perform at the shindig, hosted by WJLA-TV’s Scott Thuman, include: Cheaper Than Therapy, Butter, Nobody’s Business, Stepping Stones, and Suspicious Package.

Proceeds raised from the festivities at 14th Street’s Black Cat will benefit Writopia Lab, which provides creative writing workshops for kids and teens.
