Rep. Albio Sires on the mend after gallbladder surgery

Rep. Albio Sires is resting up following gallbladder surgery.

The New Jersey Democrat’s office tells ITK that Sires underwent surgery after being hospitalized over the weekend in the Garden State. He left the hospital on Thursday.

The 62-year-old congressman expects to be back in action on Monday.

His spokeswoman, Erica Daughtrey, tells us her boss is recovering at home and looks forward to resuming his normal schedule.
