FBI director hasn't seen 'Zero Dark Thirty'

By Jordy Yager - 03/22/13 12:36 PM ET

The head of the FBI doesn't have time for movies such as "Zero Dark Thirty."

The film, which was nominated for five Oscars, depicts the hunt for the infamous former al Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden

At an oversight hearing in the House on Tuesday, FBI Director Robert Mueller told the panel's chairman, Rep. Frank Wolf (R-Va.), that he hadn't seen the movie.

Controversy on Capitol Hill has swirled around the film since it was released late last year.

Members of the Senate Intelligence Committee have repeatedly criticized the movie's makers and distributors for misleading the public into thinking that several of the film's scenes that depict waterboarding were successful in obtaining useful information out of the prisoner.

The committee recently completed a lengthy report that was not favorable to the use of enhanced interrogation techniques.
