Johnson did not immediately respond to ITK’s request for comment about his pitch. But we’ll give him (and any other “50 Most Beautiful” hopefuls) a hand — click here for information on how to make a nomination.

UPDATE (4:20 p.m.): Benny Johnson sent ITK the following email in response to our question about what inspired him to nominate Stanton:

“Well what more is there to say? He is quite clearly the most attractive person who has ever walked the marble halls of Capitol Hill — with skull rings on.

He is also clearly not ashamed of who he is and is a rockstar on social media. (all those photos came from his FB!)  These talents are invaluable for BuzzFeed's brand of vibrant, social political reporting. He is loved on Capitol Hill by members and reporters alike for his charisma, character and big personality. He is admired by his co-workers for the same.

On the flip side: What other chances does a BuzzFeed editor have to get a puppy black lab, fireworks, poison darts, alligators, skull rings, the Great Wall of China and Sen.
