Pressed whether he’d go on the record saying he’d help Bush with any presidential run, Fratto reaffirmed, “I am a Bush Republican. So if any Bush is running for something, I’ll be there.”

ITK caught up with the political guru at last week’s downtown Washington fete for former White House photographer Eric Draper’s recently-released book, Front Row Seat: A Photographic Portrait of the Presidency of George W. Bush.

Barbara Bush commented last month that there has been one too many Bushes living in the West Wing.

When asked on the “Today” show what she thought about her son, Jeb, running for the highest office, she replied, “He’s by far the best qualified man, but no.”

"We've had enough Bushes," the former first lady told Matt Lauer, saying, "it's not just four families, or whatever."

A laughing Fratto acknowledged he “knows” Barbara Bush is sick of having the same family in the White House, before chuckling, “Whether she believes that or not, she knows a good line when she has it. And that’s a good line.”
