After speculation that he was dying his hair, President Obama noted his gray-streaked strands during his 2012 reelection campaign, referring to his now-51-year-old follicles almost as a point of pride.
He said during a 2011 fundraiser, “These are dog years that presidents live, so the gray hairs are accelerating much more rapidly than I anticipated.”
He also noted in a separate speech that he’d be “really gray” by the time he leaves office.
