A quote from Ivanka Trump surfaced Thanksgiving morning that appears showing her reaction to her father commenting on her appearance on a 2006 talk show.

On Thanksgiving morning, journalist Sarah Kendzior tweeted out a remark from Ivanka Trump in an August 2006 "Quotables" section of The Chicago Tribune with a reaction quote apparently from Ivanka.
"If he wasn't my father, I would spray him with Mace," she is quoted as saying.

Trump, with Ivanka beside him, said in a 2006 appearance on "The View" that if she weren't his daughter "perhaps I'd be dating her."
But According to Snopes.com, the quote from Ivanka may have originated from Louisiana’s Shreveport Times quoting comedian Conan O’Brien.
"While appearing on The View, Donald Trump said if his 25-year-old daughter Ivanka wasn’t his child, he would date her. Meanwhile, Ivanka said if Donald Trump wasn’t her father, she would mace him,” the Louisiana paper quotes O'Brien as saying.
