A Capitol Hill-based company called NOVO Development Corp. is creating a 77-unit apartment structure at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue SE. The “other” 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue is about five miles from the president’s famous Washington abode.

While a Secret Service detail’s not included, residents of the new digs — which will be ready for occupancy in 2015 — can enjoy amenities such as car and bicycle parking, an exercise room, a dog washing station (hear that, Bo?) and a rooftop terrace with sweeping views of the Anacostia River.

NOVO partner Greg Selfridge said in a statement, “With 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, NOVO renews its commitment to investing in Capitol Hill and promoting the revitalization of our central cities with projects that respect the traditions of urban architecture and lifestyles while also delivering amenities that 21st Century city dwellers expect.”
