Rep. Hunter sporting neck brace

The surgery, which Hunter had two weeks ago, joins selected bones in the neck.

"I hurt my back in the Marine Corps and I got it fixed," he told The Hill on Wednesday.

The lawmaker, 36, was deployed several times to Iraq and Afghanistan while serving in the Marines.

Asked if his back felt better, Hunter replied: "A lot."

We hear Hunter’s new neckwear is only temporary — he should be able to ditch his brace this week.
