Sanford races to floor vote in gym clothes

The House changed its voting schedule, moving up a series of votes by an hour -- a move that caught many by surprise.

Sanford was standing in a corner off the House floor in a sweaty t-shirt and shorts, grinning sheepishly as reporters and lawmakers passed him by.

Lawmakers are supposed to be in jackets and ties when on the House floor.

Sanford was out on a run when the vote was called.

Sanford was back in a suit and tie for the next series of votes, which occurred about an hour later.
