Hallie Biden, whose husband, Beau, died in 2015 at 46 of brain cancer, has found love with former brother-in-law Hunter Biden, 47, the New York Post reported Wednesday.

Hunter Biden, a dad of three who’s separated from his wife, told the paper in a statement, “Hallie and I are incredibly lucky to have found the love and support we have for each other in such a difficult time, and that’s been obvious to the people who love us most.”

“We’ve been so lucky to have family and friends who have supported us every step of the way,” the former Washington lobbyist added.

The ex-vice president said in a statement that he and wife Dr. Jill Biden approve of the coupling.

“We are all lucky that Hunter and Hallie found each other as they were putting their lives together again after such sadness,” the former vice president said in a statement. “They have mine and Jill’s full and complete support and we are happy for them.”

Hallie has two children from her marriage to Beau Biden, Delaware’s former attorney general.

Last month, the former vice president and second lady announced they were launching a charitable foundation focusing on cancer research, prevention of college sexual assault and other issues.
