Lawmakers send well-wishes to Scalise on Twitter

Lawmakers from both sides of the aisle are sending their thoughts and well-wishes on Twitter to House Majority Whip Steve Scalise (R-La.) as he continues to undergo surgery following the shooting at a GOP congressional baseball practice Wednesday. 

After a gunman opened fired on Republican members practicing in Virginia for the annual charity game, tributes and thanks for Scalise began to pour in, including from the White House.

Others posted “throw-back Thursday” photos of Scalise playing at the annual game in  years passed. Scalise, one of five people injured in the shooting, underwent a third surgery on Thursday morning, and colleagues offered up their prayers:
