Rep. Maxine Waters (D-Calif.) led the crowd at Glamour's Women of the Year Awards in an “impeach him” chant Monday night.

The Democratic lawmaker, an outspoken critic of President Trump who has repeatedly called for his impeachment, received the Woman of the Year Lifetime Achievement Award at the ceremony.

Waters used her speech at the ceremony to encourage the crowd to run for office, according to Glamour.

“This is your time. I’m reclaiming my time — it’s time you claim yours,” Waters said.

“You see again what is going on, you understand who is being disadvantaged, who is being undermined. Trust yourselves,” Waters said at Monday night's event, according to Glamour.

“Do not doubt yourselves. Do what you know in your heart is right and trust yourselves.”

Waters ended her speech by leading the crowd in a chant of “Impeach him!”

“Impeach 45!” she said repeatedly.

Waters has called for Trump's impeachment several times since he took office. Two Democrats have already filed articles of impeachment against Trump, and another announced earlier this month that he will file articles before Thanksgiving.
