Lindsay Lohan pitches Lawyer.com to Trump

The actress, who has faced legal challenges of her own and was last month announced as the new spokeswoman for Lawyer.com, tweeted to her more than 9 million Twitter followers on Wednesday:

The “Mean Girls” star was once a tabloid fixture, with news outlets chronicling her multiple arrests, including for driving under the influence and drug possession.

Late last month, John Dowd, Trump’s lead personal attorney handling the probe into Russian election interference, resigned. Multiple prominent Washington, D.C., attorneys have turned down offers to join Trump’s legal team in the days since.

Lohan’s pitch came the same day that CNN chief legal analyst Jeffrey Toobin said Trump “needs a lawyer with experience in criminal law. He still doesn’t have one.”

"It is an extraordinary spectacle to see the president reduced to LegalZoom, I think, to get who's going to represent him,” Toobin joked.

Lohan, 31, was one of Trump’s few Hollywood defenders when he was running for office. Calling his critics “too mean” in a 2016 interview, Lohan said, “I know Donald Trump. He is a nice person.”
