“To every country on the 4th of July. We’re sorry about our president,” Handler said in a tweet.

“He doesn’t reflect all of our views—and we hope you know that the majority of us are ashamed,” Handler continued. “We will rally each other and come back to the world one step at a time.”

The comedian used the hashtag “#Novemberiscoming,” seemingly referencing November's midterm elections and a potential blue wave of Democratic victories.

Handler has long been a vocal critic of the president, previously calling him a “sociopath” and a “toddler.”

Handler previously hosted a Netflix talk show, "Chelsea," but announced in October that she would not return to the show in order to devote more of her time to political organizing and activism.
