Kyl blasts CBO figure on health care

Sen. Minority Whip Jon Kyl (R-Ariz.) on Thursday said the $940 billion cost estimate for health reform by the Congressional Budget Office only adds to the tab taxpayers will eventually have to pay. 

"Every time a new iteration of the Democrats' health-care bill is unveiled, the price tag goes up," he said in prepared remarks. "The only thing that remains the same is that the American taxpayer will be on the hook to pay for it."
