Majority Leader Steny Hoyer (D-Ma.) said the House would take up the health reform "fix" bill immediately after it clears the Senate.
"The Senate is expected to complete work this afternoon on the improvements bill to the new health care reform law," Hoyer said in prepared remarks. "If they finish their work later today as planned, the House will take up the improvements bill with technical corrections this evening."
The Senate made adjustments to the bill early this morning concerning student loans.
Once the bill passes both chambers, a number of tax increases will be put into law by President Obama. Chief among them, a 3.8 percent tax on investments for upper income individuals and families.
