Negotiations resume on U.S.-South Korea trade agreement

President Obama and South Korean President Lee Myung-bak were unable to reach an agreement on a U.S.-Korea Free Trade Agreement (FTA) during a trip to the Group of 20 leaders meeting in Seoul last month.

In June, Obama said he would work to move the long-stalled FTA that was inked in 2007.

"Though we were disappointed the U.S. and South Korea were unable to reach an agreement on these issues in November, we were pleased the president stood firm by his commitment to seek resolution," the lawmakers said.
