Drugmaker shares rise after passage of health care bill

U.S. stocks rose this morning with the Dow Jones Industrial Average gaining more than 35 points through noon Monday. Merck & Co. and Pfizer Inc. rallied gaining about 2 percent after the House passed an overhaul of the nation's health care system late Sunday night. 

In the S&P 500, Tenet Healthcare Corp. surged nearly 8 percent on the heels of passage of the legislation.
