Pelosi names debt panel members

Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) on Wednesday named Reps. John Spratt (D-S.C.), Xavier Becerra (D-Calif.), and Jan Schakowsky (D-Ill) to President Obama's debt panel.

They join Sens. Max Baucus (D-Mont.), Kent Conrad (D-N.D.) and Richard Durbin (D-Ill) that were named to the panel last month. 

The commission, dubbed the National Commission on Fiscal Responsibility and Reform, is charged with fixing the country's long-term fiscal situation. 

One issue the panel is expected to take up is tax reform.
