Former Hill, Patton Boggs staffer joins Security Industry Association
The Security Industry Association (SIA) has hired a former Republican Hill staffer and ex-lobbyist to help lead the group's government relations team.
Marcus Dunn left Susan Davis International, where he was a senior account executive, to join SIA. He is replacing Don Erickson, who was recently promoted to SIA's chief executive officer.
“Marcus brings a wide variety of experiences to SIA, including work with associations, media, public and government relations,” Erickson said in a statement.
Dunn began his Hill career as a legislative assistant with former Rep. Joel Hefley (R-Colo.) and went on to serve Rep. Jeff Miller (R-Fla.) as legislative director and military legislative assistant.
Since leaving Capitol Hill, he has worked in a variety of positions, including owning Capitol Centric, a legislative consulting firm. He also worked for Patton Boggs as a senior legislative adviser.
“As a strong believer in the role of government relations and our system of government, I look forward to putting my experience and knowledge to work for SIA and the industry,” Dunn said in a statement.
