Inviting Nugent brings disgrace to entire House of Representatives
President Obama will deliver the annual State of the Union address on Tuesday. But no matter what he says, the event will be badly tarnished.
There’s already one turd in the punch bowl: Rep. Steve Stockman (R-Texas) has invited Ted Nugent to attend as his guest.
For Nugent to be allowed by leaders of the House to sit in the chamber is an insult to the president, to every member of Congress and to every American.
Of President Obama he said: “He’s a piece of s---. I told him to suck on my machine gun.”
Of Hillary Clinton he said: “Hey, Hillary. You might want to ride one of these [machine guns] into the sunset, you worthless b----.”
On Sen. Barbara Boxer (D-Calf.): “Barbara Boxer, she might wanna suck on my machine gun.” And at Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.), he taunted: “Dianne Feinstein, ride one of these, you worthless whore.”
Seriously, he calls the president a “piece of s---.” Calls Hillary Clinton a “worthless b----.” Calls Feinstein a “worthless whore.” Tells Boxer to “suck on his machine gun.” And he’s invited as a guest to the State of the Union address by a Republican Member of Congress?
Why hasn’t Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) stepped up to stop this outrage? If he has any respect for the House, Boehner will prohibit Nugent from attending the State of the Union address. The Congress — and the American people — deserve better.
