Poll: Could Al Gore Win the Democratic Presidential Nomination?

By Hugo Gurdon - 01/31/07 08:41 AM ET
Nearly a third of you (32%) thought President Bush's State of the Union
speech would help him, while only half that number (16%) said it would
harm him. But 52 percent said it would make no difference.

These occasions are supposed to give presidents the chance to seize
the political initiative, so Bush's address appears to have failed at
least in that respect. This was always in the cards; the odds of moving
people away from their entrenched positions at this stage of the Iraq
war were slim indeed.

To take part in our new poll , about Al Gore's chances should he make
a White House bid, scroll down the page and cast your vote.
