Clark Clifford memo to Harry Truman about the 1948 election

By Brent Budowsky - 09/21/11 05:31 PM ET

In my Thursday column I mention the private memo sent to President Harry Truman by then-White House aide Clark Clifford in November 1947. It became the blueprint for Truman's upset victory in 1948.

This memo might be the most brilliant presidential campaign strategy paper ever written. I encourage all to read the complete memo, which can be found here.
