John Boehner imitates Vladimir Putin

When House Republicans turned off C-SPAN cameras to prevent Democrats being seen championing the payroll tax cut for 160 million Americans, it was a pathetic GOP confession of humiliation and defeat. This is how Vladimir Putins runs Russia. This is not the way we do business in the land of the free and the home of the brave.

House Republicans are now committing one of the most epic political blunders in history. If the best they can do is raise taxes on 160 million Americans during the Christmas season and imitate the politics of Vladimir Putin, I will be glad to treat my Republican friends to inaugural-ball tickets after the landslide reelection of Barack Obama and get them front row seats to the triumphant swearing-in of the next Speaker of the House, Nancy Pelosi.

And you gotta love Mitt Romney. He is now on both sides of the payroll tax debate!
