Hero or villain

By Armstrong Williams - 03/15/13 11:31 AM ET

Paul Ryan is the subject of much criticism because he is tainted as one who has no concern for the poor and the elderly. This is because he has advocated fiscal responsibility and the curtailment of out-of-control entitlement spending.

The real villains are those who continue to undermine the financial stability of the nation and destroy the prospect of the American dream for future generations.

When the financial structure of our nation collapses under the weight of unbearable debt, who will then be the villain: those who try to warn us and put in place responsible fiscal policies or those who simply tell us the future will take care of itself?

People such as Ryan are truly heroes, for they are willing to be criticize and sacrifice their own personal popularity for the sake of future generations.
