Al Gore: Why the right fears him

By Brent Budowsky - 09/08/11 02:39 PM ET

In recent days Al Gore has raked Rick Perry over the coals for his attacks on science, and taken Barack Obama to task several times for his lack of courage on the environment. What is striking to me, though it should not be, is the pathological reaction of the right and their money sources from the pollution lobby to Al Gore.

The truth is, the right no longer fears Obama, but Al Gore terrifies them. It is a sight to behold! Why is this? Al Gore cannot be bullied or intimidated. Al Gore is a fighter, a man of principle, passion and power for the things he believes in. Al Gore has a huge political base of money, workers and media that transcends the Democratic Party.

I can understand why the right and their polluter fundraising sources do not fear Obama anymore, but are terrified of Al Gore.

They should be.

Stay tuned.
