By a massive margin (86%-14%) you thought the Senate was wrong to condemn MoveOn.org for its advertisement referring to Gen. David Petraeus as Gen. Betray Us. Perhaps a lot of you agree with MoveOn's damning assessment. But maybe you merely thought the vote was a waste of Senate time. Sen. Barack Obama (D-Ill.) said he chose not to vote because he did not want to engage in such gesture politics. Some skeptics thought, rather, that by skipping the vote the presidential candidate was, himself, engaged in a piece of political calculation rather than registering a principled objection.
