Great minds think alike — Mike Barnicle in NY and Shaul Mofaz in Israel

By Carol Felsenthal - 09/13/12 12:45 PM ET

Worth noting: fascinating parallels in comments on Wednesday from “Morning Joe” regular Mike Barnicle and the same day from Kadima party’s Shaul Mofaz.

BARNICLE: Who is the more dangerous player on the world stage right now, the supreme leader [Ayatollah Ali Khamenei] in Tehran or Bibi Netanyahu?

(UNCLEAR): Don’t answer that.

JOE KLEIN: It’s not Netanyahu. The supreme leader is a fascist. And he right now is causing great pain to his people in a way that Bibi Netanyahu never would.

DONNY DEUTSCH: I understand the point of your question, but that was a silly question.

SCARBOROUGH: That was a clown question, bro.

LAWRENCE O’DONNELL: One point we know with Netanyahu, as Joe can tell you, anybody’s who’s been in the room with Netanyahu, you don’t have to be with him long to know that there’s only one way, only one way, to get along with him and that is to agree with every single word he says, which Mitt Romney apparently does.

... Meanwhile, in a Wednesday session of the Knesset, Shaul Mofaz, leader of the centrist opposition Kadima Party, stated, "Israeli meddling in internal U.S. affairs and turning the U.S. administration from an ally to an enemy has caused us severe damage. Please explain to us, who is Israel’s greatest enemy: the U.S. or Iran? Who do you fear more: Ahmadinejad or Obama? Which regime is more important to overthrow — the one in Washington, or in Tehran?"
