When I wrote on this site in support of a Gore-Obama ticket I received a number of hate notes against Barack ObamaBarack Hussein ObamaReport: FCC chair to push for complete repeal of net neutrality Right way and wrong way Keystone XL pipeline clears major hurdle despite recent leak MORE.

They all made reference to Obama's middle name or the lie that a 6-year-old Barack studied at a school that was friendly to terrorists.

Recently on "Hannity and Colmes," Ann Coulter, who called Sept. 11 widows "harpies" who were not unhappy their husbands died on that day, offered the latest smear against Obama.

It was Rupert Murdoch's Fox News that also "reported" the lie about Obama's childhood.

Last night Chris Matthews demeaned the legacy of NBC and the reputation of MSNBC by giving Ann Coulter a full hour, including a discussion of whether or not she should publicly call for John Edwards's death.

Matthews, NBC and MSNBC should be ashamed for giving this pond-scum politics a one-hour forum.

The would-be buyer of the Wall Street Journal and Fox News should be ashamed for giving this hate a forum, for their bogus story about Obama's youth, and for their constant use of the airwaves for demeaning partisanship and slanders against a long list of Democrats.

It is high time and long overdue for the Black Caucus in Congress to take a stand of honor and principle and cancel their presidential debate with Fox News as a partner.

The Congressional Black Caucus has a distinguished record and some of the most talented and able members of the Congress.

They should do the right thing and not lend their good name and reputation to a venture with a partner that is so demeaning, and so disrespectful, and so dishonorable, to a man who could be the next president of the United States.
