Hey, Candi has a lot of real experience getting the job done, and I really do recommend How Does Your Website Stack Up?
Lot of good stuff there; here are a few of my favorites:
1. Audience immediately can identify what the site is about, who it’s for, what they need to do to complete their tasks.
6. Content is written in plain language.
7. Links are clear and useful.
8. Every graphic is essential to communicate critical information. No gratuitous graphics. No graphics just because they’re “cute” or “cool.” No photos of agency executives on the home page (put them on the “about us” page).
