News bites: Warren’s grilling of regulators goes viral

Sen. Elizabeth Warren’s (D-Mass.) sharp questioning of financial regulators during her first hearing on the Senate Banking Committee is a YouTube favorite, The Los Angeles Times reports. During the hearing, Warren asked officials when they last took a bank to court for skirting rules.

European Union regulators are looking to crack down on Google over the firm’s response to privacy concerns, according to the Financial Times.

The Nuclear Regulatory Commission is cool to a Connecticut plant’s plan to operate with higher water temperatures, according to emails obtained by The Associated Press.
