News bites: Healthcare law's rules leading to decreased readmission rates

The rate of hospital readmission rates for Medicare patients has been cut since passage of the Affordable Care Act, The Washington Post reports. 

Boeing officials met with Japanese regulators to present their solution to battery problems that led to the grounding of its 787 Dreamliner, according to The Atlanta Journal Constitution.

The Huffington Post looked at potential conflicts of interest in the relationship between regulators and the fracking industry.

Regulators appear to be at odds with Southern California Edison over efforts to restart the San Onofre nuclear plant, the Los Angeles Times reports.
