News bites: SEC moves to lift investor solicitation ban

The SEC is drafting a rule to lift the ban keeping privately held firms from mass-marketing their offerings to investors, The Washington Post reports.

President Obama is considering a broad array of executive actions, as he seeks to crack down on gun violence, according The New York Times.

Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) vows to fight gun-related executive orders “tooth and nail,” Real Clear Politics reports.

The U.S. Supreme Court is weighing government’s power to seize private property through “regulatory taking,” according to SCOTUSblog.
