News bites: FAA grounds Boeing Dreamliner

The Federal Aviation Administration has halted flights of the company’s 787 Dreamliner after battery failures on two of the jets, The New York Times reports.

Usually wary of government intervention, banks are seeking help from federal agencies to defend against cyberattacks linked to Iran, according to The Wall Street Journal.

Federal regulations could block Murdoch’s acquisition of the Los Angeles Times, the newspaper reports.

Regulators have approved a new insect-based flu vaccine, according to CNN.
