A New Zealand airline is being criticized for using swimsuit models in its latest safety instruction video, Fox News reports.
Airlines have been trying in recent months to make their safety videos more catchy to grab passengers’ attention now they are allowed to keep their portable electronic devices on during most flights.
Air New Zealand is being criticized by women’s rights groups in its home country for using Sports Illustrated models in a video called “Safety in Paradise,” according to the report.
The airline is standing by its swimsuit safety video, the network reported.
"Safety in Paradise has been tested extensively with a cross-section of customers and staff to ensure we strike the right balance between entertainment and conveying important safety messages," the company said in a statement.
