News bites: Unintended consequences

Spirit Airlines is adding a $2 "unintended consequences" fee to its ticket prices to protest the Department of Transportation's new advertising rules for airlines.

Newark, N.J.'s Liberty International Airport was shut down by a security breach.

American Airlines is expected to eliminate 13,000 jobs during its bankruptcy.
