News bites: An unhappy on-time arrival

Airports are bracing for delays on flights and at security checkpoints, which the Obama administration has warned about with sequestration arriving at midnight.

Phoenix, Ariz., officials are worried about losing U.S. Airways’ headquarters when the company’s merger with Fort Worth, Tex.-based American Airlines is complete.

A discount Norwegian airline is looking for new planes to start flying on international trips because of grounding of the Boeing 787 “Dreamliner."
