The public advocacy group SumOfUs.Org has taken out large ads to appear on buses in the Washington, D.C., region protesting a request to the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to take “low-calorie” labels off the front of flavored milk sweetened with artificial sugars.
"Hey, FDA, if the dairy industry gets its way, milk marketed to our kids will become more of an artificially-sweetened junk food. We don't want that!" the signs read.

A regulation to require busses and motor coaches to install seatbelts for each passenger brought a transportation conglomerate to the White House.
The rule, which the Department of Transportation (DOT) estimates will cost about $13,000 per new 54-seat motor coach to implement, arrived at the White House in February – which means that it’s nearing the end of the 90-day review period. The department originally hoped to have it finalized by last month.
On Monday, Coach USA, and its fleet of lobbyists met with the White House about the regulations. Coach USA oversees everything from charter busses to the value bus line, Megabus.
